The MBA Mini-Class:  User Innovation During the COVID-19 Pandemic

Experience the dynamic environment of one of our MBA classes in this session.

Topic: What is entrepreneurship and how do we teach it?

Description: User innovation is when the end users of products and services innovate those products and services. Focusing on consumers this mini class will examine how the COVID-19 pandemic motivated different types of user innovators to produce different types of innovations, and what this means for innovation management.

Ian McCarthy is the W.J. VanDeusen Professor of Innovation Management at the Beedie School of Business. He was a Fulbright Scholar at the Georgia Institute of Technology studying the impacts of university innovation on local and national economies, and a faculty member at the universities of Warwick and Sheffield in the UK. He was also an industrial engineer for Philips Electronics and Alcan.

Master of Science in Finance - a program for early to mid-career individuals with an aptitude for quantitative finance. This program equips students with the tolls needed to manage risk and investments in a rapidly changing world.
