Description

McGill Students for HanVoice is very excited to announce our biggest event of the year: “What Would You Ask a North Korean?” with HanVoice Pioneer, and North Korean defector, Ellie Cha.

About our club:
As a student chapter of the Canadian organization HanVoice, our goals are to promote awareness of the North Korean refugee crisis and fundraise to facilitate projects, such as the annual Pioneer Project, which empowers North Korean refugees to become agents of change with training in advocacy and leadership through an internship with a Canadian Parliamentarian. The main organization, located in Toronto, works with leading politicians and policy experts to advocate for change in attitude and government policy towards North Korean refugees.

Take this opportunity to learn about the North Korean human rights crisis and to hear Ellie’s story.
There will also be a Q&A session where you'll get the chance to ask any pressing questions!

When: Saturday, Oct. 28th, 4:30 – 6:30 pm
Where: SSMU Ballroom (3rd floor)

Please RSVP your tickets through Eventbrite!
We look forward to seeing you at the event!!
