Multi-disciplinary Care for IBD | Strength Through Shared Knowledge

MCIBD will focus on practical, case-based presentations and panel discussions, with ample opportunity for interaction. The faculty will be comprised of experts in IBD and is targeted at various types of healthcare professionals (clinicians: obstetricians, gynecologists, family doctors, internists, gastroenterologists; mental health specialists, nurses, allied health care professionals and pharmacists) involved in the management of IBD in Ontario.

The registration fee includes breakfast, lunch, and refreshments throughout the day-long program.

Conference Goal and Objectives

This is a full-day medical education conference bringing together multi-disciplinary practitioners to address the management of IBD from preconception to postpartum care. The goal of MCIBD 2020 is to improve the care for women with IBD preconception and during pregnancy and peripartum.

The conference objectives include:
Reviewing the importance of multi-disciplinary care for women with IBD planning a pregnancy
Discussing the medical and surgical management of IBD during preconception, pregnancy, and peripartum
Exploring practical considerations regarding nutrition, delivery and breastfeeding for women with IBD
