Description

A year away from the 2019 federal election and 16 months removed from the publication of Strong, Secure, Engaged, how is the implementation of the ambitious procurement plan outlined in the Trudeau defence policy faring? How should Canadians evaluate success when it comes to their defence procurement? This is the central focus of our fifth conference on defence procurement featuring speakers from the government of Canada, the defence industry and academia. In answering this question the conference will evaluate the major changes to Canadian defence procurement over the last decade - to procurement governance and Canada economic offset regime – and ask if both are delivering what is required.
