Spend the morning with us as we teach Media 101 for Innovative Companies. Learn how to find and tell your company’s stories. Discover what the media need and want to highlight your business. We show you how to take your story – share your message – deliver it on TV or radio and gain valuable media exposure for you business.

Catherine Bangel’s career as a television and radio journalist spanned more than a decade. She has worked for CBC Television in Edmonton, Regina and Yellowknife and for Global Television in Edmonton, covering live and often breaking news stories. Catherine’s stories have appeared locally and provincially as well as nationally on CBC’s The National with Peter Mansbridge, CBC Newsworld, Global National, NBC and CNN.

Catherine left the daily grind of television news in 2009 and entered the field of media relations and communications. She has worked with the RCMP and at the City of Edmonton where she assisted with issues management, media and internal communications as well as with Edmonton Fire Rescue. In October 2012, Catherine began her own media relations and communications company where she now helps company’s tell their own stories and gain media recognition for their brilliant ideas, events and charitable work.

Catherine has a Political Science degree from the University of Alberta and a Journalism degree from the University of Regina.
