This session is for all international students at SFU.
About this event
This session is for new and current international students would like to learn more about medical insurance that is required for the duration of your studies at SFU.
Please join us at this session, where the presenters will cover key topics regarding medical insurance for international students at SFU, and give you a chance to ask any questions you have. We will explain the differences between primary and secondary medical insurance, different plans that fall under these categories (Guard.me, MSP, and SFSS/GSS Health and Dental Plans), and important timelines you need to be aware of.

Session Time & Format:
- A brief overview of medical insurance and supports by an International Student Advisor and a representative from StudentCare.
- Q&A session
You will have the option to submit questions when you register. You'll also be able to ask questions during the session. We will answer as many questions as we can.
To participate in this session, you will need to register, have access to the internet and a working computer. Registered participants will be provided with a link in advance to access the online space.
A brief overview of selected topics will be recorded and made available following the session on our Resources page. The Q&A portion of the session will not be recorded.
