Description

Dear NECR students,

Interested in becoming a Mediator? Wondering how you can get into the Mediation field without a law degree?

Join us in welcoming Tajaé Gaynor, Director, Westchester and Rockland Mediation Center who will be answering all your questions on Mediation and talking about his personal journey as well.

Tajaé Gaynor is the Supervisor School-Based Programs and Training Initiatives for Westchester and Rockland Mediation Centers of CLUSTER Inc. He developed a passion for Conflict Resolution over 20 years ago as a Junior High School peer mediator. Tajaé earned his undergraduate degree in Forensic Psychology from John Jay College of criminal justice. Year after year, he works with hundreds of young people and adults teaching Conflict Resolution and mediation skills. His commitment to teaching violence prevention has earned him national recognition from the Democratic Congressional leadership in 1999.

In 2004, Tajaé was honored with the James Boskey Award for outstanding youth leadership from the Association of Conflict Resolution (ACR). He currently serves on the Board of Directors for ACR National and was appointed as the first Diversity and Equity Director in the Organizations History.
