MEN - this. is. for. YOU. Leaving the familiar to fully see yourself, others AND most of all, GOD.
About this event
MEN - this message is for you.
MAY 27-28 we are leaving the city for our first overnighter.
PLAN for fun, relationships (New, old or unexpected) and what we know will be an impactful time with God.
There is something about leaving the familiar, the common, the distractions that allows us to fully see ourselves, others AND most of all GOD. This is a call or invitation or a billboard outside your window blasting you with the message - cast your cares on HIM - the stresses, the work, the tired, the...(insert whatever is holding you hostage). Allow God to speak through the men joining this weekend, the worship, the speaking, the silence, the unaware moments.
MEN - this 20hrs away is solely for you to reconnect.
MEN - this. is. for. YOU.
MENS OVERNIGHTER FAQ
Q: Do I need to bring my own food?
A: We suggest you grab a light dinner on your way up to Barrie Friday night, but a later dinner and breakfast on Saturday will be provided.
Q: I’m not down to camp. Where can I stay?
A: Grab a few guys and get an Airbnb together. In the Mens Overnight Epic Chat on Whatsapp there will be ways to connect to find a place and other guys to stay with. Drop in the chat that you’re looking for a place to stay too!
If you’re not into Airbnb, there are hotels along Mapleview Dr and Essa Rd in Barrie you could look into.
Q: I don’t have a car. How can I get there?
A: In the Mens Overnight Epic Chat on Whatsapp we’ll be connecting men who are driving with those who need a ride! Let us know if you can carpool or need a way to get there in the Whatsapp.
Q: Is there child care?
A: There will not be formal child care or C3 Kids, but kids 7 and up are welcome to be involved in the Overnighter.
Q: Is alcohol allowed?
A: No alcohol is allowed on site.
Q: Can I come just for Saturday?
A: We want to encourage every man to come for the whole event. It’s less than 2 hours away – being together, seeking after God, and out of our usual environments!
Q: I’d love to camp but I don’t have gear.
A: You could look into camping gear rentals (some MEC locations offer this, for example). There is a Canadian Tire close to Mapleview Community Church where you could purchase gear if you’re wanting to camp on-site.
Q: What if it rains and I’m camping?
A: There is a large event tent on the property you can move under. If it pours, you can move inside Mapleview Church overnight.
Q: This will be my first Mens event/ I’m new to church. How do I get connected?
A: We’re so thrilled you’re coming! Shoot us an email at contact@c3toronto.com and we’ll get someone to reach out to you. Also, let us know in the WhatsApp and we’ll make sure you feel welcomed.
Q: I want to get baptized.
A: What a great decision! We will be having baptisms at Mens Overnighter if conditions allow. Otherwise, we will make sure you’re part of the next church-wide baptism day! Shoot us an email at contact@c3toronto.com and let us know you want to get baptized at this Overnighter.
