Calling all employers: become an Employer of Excellence partner and strive to be a more inclusive organization.

We will be holding our Employer of Excellence event at the Marriott Harbourfront Hotel on January 19th 2017, 9:00am -12:30pm. Ticket are $150 per person. We aim to bring together like-minded employers who are continuously working to make our community more inclusive.

We are inviting employers, HR professionals, managers and business owners from a variety of backgrounds to join us for a Mental Illness and Diversity Awareness training session with Tova Sherman.

Training will support employers on their journey of inclusivity. Training is a process. Managing diversity is a journey that includes a long term commitment to building individual knowledge and developing and applying skills and guidelines. Tova will be answering the difficult questions while using her own unique sense of humor to engage her audience.

Training Event Objectives:

• Mental Health in the Workplace

Mental health is the single largest issue in Canada’s workplaces. Did you know 35% of all sick days are due to mental health issues? We can no longer afford to ignore the facts. This training focuses on what is real as opposed to what is stigma, and provides you the tools to address challenges in your workplace.

This detailed module is specifically aimed at those decision makers who employ and engage staff of all backgrounds. From identifying “the hidden barrier” to inclusive orientation, this module is for anyone who is ready to create a workplace that truly reflects our diverse community.
