Event description
Mental health first aid training equips participant to interact confidently about mental health with their family, friends and communities.

About this Event

MHFA Basic is intended for adults interacting with adults (18 years and older). This course focuses on the four most common mental health disorders including substance related, mood related, anxiety and trauma related, and psychotic disorders. Participants who take this course are well prepared to interact confidently about mental health with their family, friends, communities, and workplaces.

The course focuses on 1) mental health and stigma, 2) Signs and symptoms, 3) Effective Intervention, 3) Resources and Supports.

Particpants will receive a certificate in mental health first aid at the end of the course and they are required to attend all three sessions.

The sessions are:

Friday February 28th from 7:00 - 9:00 pm

Saturday February 29th from 9:00 am - 4:00 pm

Sunday March 1st form 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm

This trainign costs $140 per particpants which covers tuition, materials and meals.
