Event description

Description

Are you feeling... Stressed? Unmotivated? Overwhelmed? Have ideas on how to improve mental health in the Faculty? Or just want to learn about mental health while eating *free dinner and dessert*?

You are not alone. The GECoS Mental Wellness Committee is hosting a "Mental Wellness Carousel" to discuss the topics of:
- Research & coursework challenges
- Diagnosable mental illness
- Interpersonal relationships
- Self image & imposter syndrome
- How to improve mental health support in the Faculty

We will have facilitators from UofT-affiliated mental health groups: Healthy Grads, the Conflict Resolution Centre, Clinical Psychology, the Academic Success Centre, and the Health and Wellness Centre to lead open discussions.

Our ultimate goal is to start conversations about mental wellness in the Faculty of Engineering and remind graduate students that they are not alone. We all struggle. And it's ok not to be ok. This workshop is designed to be a stepping stone for all graduate students to reach out to the many resources on the University of Toronto campus, talk about issues, and get informed.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to ask us at gecos@utoronto.ca!
