Event description

Description

Registration for the Mentor STEM Leaders program organized by Women in Science and Engineering (WISE) Ottawa is now open!

The Mentor STEM Leaders Program is a six session program offered by WISE Ottawa and its partners, to support your professional and personal development as you pursue your post-secondary, graduate and post-doctoral research studies. You learn from and exchange insights with women in established careers, professional coaches and consultants, and each other, all the while expanding your network of peers and colleagues. It is offered with the generous support of Carleton University, the University of Ottawa and the NSERC Chair for Women in Science and Engineering (Ontario).

There are a limited number of spots available so register for all sessions you are interested in. Participation is on a first come, first serve basis. You will gain the greatest benefit by attending all sessions and we request a $5 donation per session as a voluntary investment in your future. If you can not attend all sessions, consider signing up for pairs of sessions, as set out below:

Sessions 1 (Sept 26 - uOttawa) + 2 (Oct 10 - CarletonU) - meet professional WISE and learn how to confidently explore your options, navigate "fork in the road" decisions, and balance your personal and professional interests.

Sessions 3 (Nov 7 - uOttawa) + 4 (Nov 21 - CarletonU) - meet professional WISE and learn about diversity and inclusion initiatives in the workplace, communication strategies and how to execute goals important to you.

Sessions 5 (Jan 16 - uOttawa) + 6 (Jan 30 - CarletonU)- meet professional WISE and learn new strategies for how to be at your creative and resourceful best, as you work purposively with others to get results and have impact.

The sessions are held Wednesday evenings from 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm.
