Mentoring sharpens your public speaking skills at Cambridge Toastmasters
Event Information
About this event
Scared of public speaking? Worried that you’re not persuasive as you can be in business meetings over zoom? Do want to build your team and leadership skills?
Cambridge Toastmasters is ready to help you with support and mentorship to find your voice and confidently express yourself personally and professionally — both in-person and online.
In our current world, too much emphasis is placed on being self-made, self-sufficient, and learning through the school of hard knocks.
When you join Toastmasters, you are welcomed into a community where mentoring comes part and parcel with the speaking and leadership training you receive.
Cambridge Toastmasters invites you to visit our next meeting as a guest, as Club member CJ Janzen leads an expert panel discussion focussing on:
- Mentor/Protégé Relations
- Becoming a Mentor
- What’s it’s like to have a Mentor
- The benefits of being a Mentor
We invite you to experience a Toastmasters meeting. This is the opportunity to learn more about how mentoring can change your life for the better!
“A mentor is someone who allows you to see the hope inside yourself.”
-- Oprah Winfrey
Register with us for a ticket and we'll send you a Zoom link to join the meeting.
Guests are always welcome to visit our club meetings any Thursday evening. It's an opportunity to chance to learn more about how Toastmasters helps its members grow. Our meetings have gone virtual during the pandemic, using the Zoom video platform.
Toastmasters is open to anyone 18 years or older who wants to improve their communications and presentation skills. Every meeting offers members a chance to practice their public speaking skills — both with and without preparation — in a supportive environment. Members help each other improve, with constructive feedback on their progress.
Meetings offer opportunities to meet new people, build personal networks, practice public speaking techniques, learn leadership skills and improve self-confidence.
