About this event
Hi-Skule is a student-run engineering outreach club at the University of Toronto with the aim of informing students about engineering. Mentorship coffeehouse is our first event of the year which allows the students to participate in an afternoon of STEM-related activities, attend presentations hosted by Professor Variawa and student clubs, and interact with current UofT Engineering students.
The clubs presenting are the University of Toronto Concrete Toboggan Team (Tbog) and Robotics for Space Exploration (RSX). Tbog designs and fabricates a toboggan with a fully concrete running surface while also emphasizing team spirit with fun costumes. They compete in the Great Northern Concrete Toboggan Race against over 20 North American universities.
Formed in 2013, RSX designs and builds Mars Rovers to compete internationally at competitions such as the University Rover Challenge and the European Rover Challenge. Most recently, they went to Alberta for the Canadian International Rover Challenge.
