While Persephone’s absence from the mortal realm casts the world into winter doldrums, a great celebration rages in the underworld. Adorned in the brightest and whitest garments, guests bring light to the darkest regions of Hades. Join the good spirits in a tradition as old as time: the white-costumed ball.

Costume suggestions: Winter goddess, sexy yeti, ice giant, arctic fox, snow bunny. At The Opera House, radically transformed into a winter wonderland.

We are pleased to be visited once again by our favourite bouncy, bass-driven west coast friends SkiiTour! Known for their upbeat “feel-good house music that keeps the vibe groovy” (DJ Mag) as well as channelling a retro ski aesthetic, SkiiTour has rocked festival stages at Shambhala, Burning Man (including our art car!) Chasing Summer, Bass Coast, Snowbombing Canada and more. The pair were nominated for “Electronic & Dance Artist of the Year” for the 2020 Western Canadian Music Awards, and we can't wait to welcome them back to Toronto for the first time since they sold out the Mod Club at Whiteout 2019.

Smalltown DJs (Calgary, AB)

The Smalltown sound is fun bass-heavy house music, combining the spirit of Canada's outdoor electronic music festivals such as Shambhala & Bass Coast, with the sound they cultivated at the legendary Hifi Club in Calgary (which they owned and operated). The boys have released music most recently on various labels including Fool's Gold, Box of Cat's, Perfect Driver, Sweat It Out! and more.

The Sponges (Miami, FL)

The Sponges signature sound fuses 70's funk, heavy bass, and nostalgic sample chops with a classic four on the floor rhythm. Support and praise quickly arose from several renowned artists in the house music scene such as Ardalan, Taiki Nulight, Back2Black, Movenchy, Haechi, Sonny Banks, and Aylen.

WHO IS METAPHOENIX

Metaphoenix is a brand new Toronto- and Las Vegas-based art car collective. The team includes some of the same talented builders and makers from the Prodigal Swan art car and the Heavy Meta dragon art car, along with new welders and flame effects technicians from around the continent. The team is building a 50 foot-long metal phoenix mutant vehicle, a towering, fiery steel beast that represents rebirth after the flames of the pandemic. Read more here: https://www.metaphoenix.art
