Join us for an engaging lecture on "Gandhi and Human Rights" followed by dance and theatre performances.

About this Event

College of the Humanities, Carleton University, and Mahatma Gandhi Peace Council, Ottawa bring to you a lecture titled "Gandhi and Human Rights" by Prof. Vinay Lal, Department of History, University of California, Los Angeles.

After the lecture, performances include a play "Satyagraha - Truth Force" directed by Kathi Langston, Ottawa School of Theatre, and an Odissi dance performance curated by Odissi Nrutyayana.

Full Program:

2.00pm - Garlanding at Gandhi Statue, Richcraft Building, Carleton University

2.30pm - Lecture by Prof. Vinay Lal, Kailash Mital Theatre, Carleton University

3.40pm - Intermission

3.50pm - Play 'Satyagraha - Truth Force'

4.20pm - Odissi dance

4.30pm - Reception
