Description

1 in 5 Canadians will live with a mental health issue every year. Do you know what you can do to help?


From anxiety disorders to suicidal thoughts and more, Mental Health First Aid will teach you the basics of helping people experiencing mental health distress.


Mental Health First Aid is an evidence based program of the Mental Health Commission of Canada.


About this course: The course will take place over two full days on the UNB Fredericton campus, exact location TBA. Snacks and coffee will be provided, and there is a one hour break for lunch. Upon completion of the course, participants will recieve a certificate from Mental Health First Aid Canada. This certificate is nationally and internationally recognized.


About the instructor: Lee Thomas is a mental health speaker and writer based in Fredericton, New Brunswick. She has experience presenting to groups of all ages, sizes, and backgrounds, and has taught programs all across Canada.
