Event description

Description

Whether you shop at the farmer's market or supermarket, microgreens seem to be everywhere these days. Not sure why they're so popular, or how to use them? Join us for an informative and tasty exploration of those little sprouts!

We will taste many varieties, learn about the high nutritional value of each one, and learn about how their vitamins and minerals will benefit your body.

Also, we we discuss how you can easily add them into your diet. A cooking demonstration will show you how to use them in juices, make "living wraps" from them, and create delicious salad rolls.

Our instructor, Brittany Wells, is a microgreen super-enthusiast and also the director of Harvest Microgreens. She is on a mission to help everyone understand their benefits and is currently hosting free two-hour microgreen parties around Edmonton. The River Valley Free School is excited to promote her cause and bring new people together in an informal, social setting to learn about microgreens.

This event will be hosted at a residential apartment in Queen Alexandra, near Whyte. We have space for a limited number, so please reserve your spot. Remember to RSVP by email (freeschoolteam@gmail.com) or text to confirm your attendance (you will be prompted). If you register and can not longer make it, please let us know asap... We will have a waiting list!

Look forward to seeing you there!
