Welcome to Mindful Rehabilitation & Education: A Weekend In Nature

Thursday, April 26, 2018 (begins 7:00pm) – Sunday, April 29 (ends 4:00pm)

I am excited to invite you to be part of this growing opportunity both personally and professionally. Individuals from every community and profession are turning to mindfulness as a way to improve their lives and the lives of their clients. Studies in neuroscience now clearly show the ways that mindfulness can impact your health, your neurology and the process of learning and recovery in a positive manner. Now is your time to step into this consciousnesss.

" Being a Mindful Professional means minding our own mind first. As we, the agents of change, begin to master through awareness the essence of our own internal state of being, we can then begin to share our gift with others"

An intensive interactive mindfulness training, this is not only a weekend of professional development, it is a weekend of personal growth, rejuevenation and creation of community. Designed first to help you transform your life and then to enhance your professional practice, the Mind Over Chatter workshop provides a strong foundational knowledge of the principles and strategies involved in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and Meditation. In addition you will explore basic leading edge neuroscience as well as current and future applications both personally and professionally. Mind Over Chatter encorporates the deeper Psycho Spiritual nature of original mindfulness traditions. In a brand new way, you will witness opportunities for growth and change in relation to your deeper self, self-regulation, attention and learning, stress and anxiety, communication, relationships, trauma and recovery. You will take with you, your own individual and ongoing personal practice based on your needs, body, feelings, emotions and state of mind. Collectively, we will cultivate a community and will network and collaborate regarding how to introduce the use of Mindfulness into our therapeutic and professional practice. This program specifically includes both Eastern and Western components which allows you through a broad perspective to harness your own growth and development as a gateway to supporting recovery and development in yourself and others.

"Thank you for a wonderful and inspiring workshop. I have been meditating and doing my best to practice mindfulness. My mind sure likes to wander though!......And years of reacting with anger to minor frustrations in life is a hard habit to break. At least I am now mindful of it and realize that is a first step in the process of change"

"You have shared so much with me and made such a difference in my life...I cannot express enough gratitude but I know you feel it too"

"Thank you so much for the weekend. I feel like a happier more energized person. I have been telling all of my SLP friends about it! I would be interested in the retreat. Thanks so much for this idea. Take Care!"

"Thank you so much for such an amazing weekend! You have truly changed me. I never thought that it was possible to delve so deep and experience the tremendous effects that meditation and mindfulness can have. Getting back to “reality” I have definitely had some moments that have challenged me, but at least now I know how to step back and get through them (or just observe). Thank you from the bottom of my heart!"

"I wanted to share again how touched I am by what I learned from you. Thanks again. It has been so meaningful in my life. I miss everyone that was there so much and wish they could be in my life every day. It was so wonderful to be surrounded by like-minded individuals who were so open and honest"

“I have taken the MBSR {Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction} formal training and this is very different yet offers the similar techniques and content. You teach and inspire from the heart what a wonderful experience to go to a professional workshop and feel great afterwards. I can now use this to inspire myself and my clients”
