8-Week Mindfulness (MBSR) Community Program

The Spring 2018 MBSR Program in Brampton starts April 3: ​The Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Community Program is an 8-week group program based on a type of meditation called mindfulness. During the Community Program, you will learn how to take better care of yourself and explore ways to mobilize your own inner resources to promote well-being. The Community Program is open to the general public. You do not need any experience with mindfulness or meditation to participate.

What to expect during the 8-week program

The participatory and highly supportive group program includes:

  • eight weekly 2.5 hr evening sessions and a 1-day retreat (on a weekend) held between sessions six and seven;

  • guided instruction in mindfulness meditation practices;

  • gentle stretching and mindful movement;

  • group dialogue and mindful communication exercises; and

  • daily home practice.​

Registration Fee: ​The registration fee is $150 for the 8-week MBSR Community Program. Students/retired/low income can inquire about a discounted registration fee for the program.
