Description

Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) is a well researched and respected program in the medical community. This program helps create shifts around stress, anxiety, depression, illness and the demands of everyday life.

The program was developed by Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. MBSR has proven to be highly effective in managing the challenges that arise in life and enhances well-being.

In this this information session (open to all and at no cost), you will :

  • get first hand experience of mindfulness
  • learn why mindfulness may be useful to cultivate
  • learn about the origin and history of MBSR
  • obtain information about the entire eight-week MBSR program; and,
  • meet the instructor and have opportunities to ask questions
