Event description

Description

Conference Details:

The primary care physicians of the Peterborough Family Health Team are invited to participate in the Mindfulness in Medicine conference, conducted by Dr. Mark Sherman. This four-day morning workshop acknowledges the challenges physicians endure and establishes new skills, tools, and resources to bolster healing and build resilience.

"The culture and practice of medicine offers unique challenges to physicians in terms of self care and wellness. This can lead to unhealthy stress, mood disorders, relationship challenges, and burnout. The Mindfulness in Medicine series of workshops and retreats are an opportunity to better understand the unique nature of our suffering and challenge. They provide an opportunity to rediscover, as a community, the tools, skills, and resources that can allow us to nurture our own healing and resilience for ourselves, our relationships and our patients." (Living This Moment: Mindfulness in Medicine course.) For more information on the Mindfulness in Medicine, visit Living This Moment.

The conference will take place the mornings of September 6 to 9, and the afternoons are yours to enjoy!
