Our Winter 2017 Mindfulness Integrated Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (MiCBT) Group will be led by Psychologist Dr. Kimberly Sogge, CPsych. MiCBT will assist participants to:
Develop focus and equanimity
Challenge fears and avoidant behaviors
Reduce reactivity and emotional suffering
Increase body awareness
Cultivate lovingkindness for yourself and others
Develop self respect based on personal ethics
Re-commit to a life of vitality.
MiCBT integrates the development of systematic mindfulness meditation with the best practices of cognitive behavioral therapy developed in Western medicine. This 8 week course provides professional, caring guidance in developing the skill sets for overcoming stuck patterns in your life.
The MiCBT course will take place as follows: 1.5 hour weekly sessions at the Ottawa Collaborative Care Centre 102 Lewis Street, Ottawa, ON K2P 0S7.
The time of the course will be 8:05pm to 9:35pm weekly.
MiCBT session dates are 02/01/2017, 02/08/2017, 02/15/2017, (no class 02/22/2017), 03/01/2017, 03/08/2017, 03/15/2017, 03/22/2017 and 03/29/2017.
