About this Event
Regardless of your experience with mindfulness and meditation, this workshop will empower you with the knowledge to create a practice that is unique for YOU.
In this workshop you will learn the foundation of these practices to help you establish a practice that serves your individual needs. We are all face our own obstacles when it comes to mindfulness and meditation, and this workshop will help you explore what works for you (and what doesn’t) based on your unique needs. You will learn the skills to nourish your mental health, calm your nervous system, and reduce the negative impacts of stress.
This workshop will be led by Vidya (@expressionsbyvidya), one of the co-founders of the Soul Sisters Society. Vidya is a birth doula, 500h mindful movement educator, and is a student of Women's Studies. She has taught mindful movement and meditation across the globe and is honoured to guide you along this journey of discovering your unique practice.
This workshop is by donation, with the suggested offering of $30. We recognize that these are difficult times, so pay what you can. We believe that mental health management techniques should be accessible to all, you are welcome here so come as you are. Arrive ready to learn and relax, wear something comfy and have a yoga mat or cushion nearby. We will be practicing some gentle movement and several meditation techniques.
