Mindfulness is the awareness that arises when paying attention to the present moment, with non-judgment.
On automatic pilot, we are more likely to have “buttons pressed”. We are often triggered by events, thoughts, feelings and sensations. These triggers of which we are usually only dimly aware of, but they are ever-present, result in unhelpful, ruminative, old habits of reacting, and often lead to negative moods, often creating physical and emotional stress.
Do you ever feel triggered by the behaviours of your children – from toddlers to teens? Do you feel afterwards that you wish you had been calmer and feel more joy in being a parent? Then this information session is for you. You will learn how mindfulness-based techniques and tools that will enhance awareness of the triggers you face during moments of tantrums and conflict with your children. I will present to you what the basics of my programs for Mindfulness children, teens and parents include. We will have a discussion on what the issues are present in our world today and how mindfulness training can help.
