Mission from MaRS: Climate Impact Challenge is an ambitious technology adoption program that seeks to rapidly accelerate the widespread deployment of Canada’s most effective carbon-reducing innovations across three core technology and infrastructure themes:

• Energy — industrial efficiency, low-carbon fuels, clean power, energy storage, carbon capture, waste heat and other solutions
• Real estate — building materials, heating, cooling, lighting, energy management etc.
• Transportation — intelligent transit, electric mobility, autonomous systems and more

This nationwide initiative aims to recruit 10 ventures with the collective potential to mitigate hundreds of megatons of greenhouse-gas (GHG) emissions globally.
