Description

Join the first ever MLA Feedback Forum!

We are only able to offer 100 spots, so sign up quickly to guarantee yourself a place.

MLA Adam Olsen is excited to offer you a unique opportunity to provide feedback on your provincial government. For your provincial representative to effectively advocate on your behalf, they need to hear from you and about the issues you care about. This is your chance to help guide and give input to your MLA. For example:

  • Do you have concerns about our province’s education system?

  • How could regional transportation infrastructure be improved?

  • How well is the government handling the housing crisis?

  • What are your views on the upcoming electoral referendum?

Participating in this forum will allow your provincial representative, MLA Adam Olsen, to better represent you and our community as a whole. To ensure the ability for you to give the feedback you wish, including any critical feedback (which is welcome), the forum will be administered by Royal Roads Masters’ students who will facilitate unbiased and nonpartisan discussions based on issues you bring up. There will be large discussions as well as small focus groups. All of your responses will be anonymous; the students will simply be there to facilitate, observe, and record.

While we have sent invitations at random across our riding, we are encouraging everyone to participate. Whether you are a supporter, totally unconnected, or opposed to the work of your MLA or our provincial government, we hope you will consider participating in this nonpartisan community forum.

Because we don’t want to influence the outcome, MLA Olsen will not be in the building for the majority of the event. He will be there at the beginning and end of the event to answer questions. However, he intends to utilize your input to better represent the community’s concerns.

Schedule:

  • 10:30 am - doors open

  • 11:00 am - 11:15 am - MLA Olsen greets participants and explains the event and process.

  • 11:20 am - 1:00 pm - Royal Roads students lead discussions, facilitate focus groups, conduct interviews and manage the event.

  • 1:00 pm - 1:10 pm - MLA Olsen concludes the event and thanks participants for their time.

We look forward to seeing you!
