Steve Snider, General Manager & CEO, Halifax Harbour Bridges
Steve Snider is the General Manager and CEO of Halifax Harbour Bridges (HHB). As one of the longest serving CEOs of a tolling authority in North America, Mr. Snider is responsible for the overall operations, maintenance and administration of the Angus L. Macdonald and A. Murray MacKay bridges. These critical pieces of infrastructure represent almost 34 million crossings each year, a 21 per cent increase in traffic since Mr. Snider started with HHB in 1994.
He is overseeing the largest capital project since the opening of the MacKay Bridge in 1970, the replacement of the suspended spans on the Macdonald Bridge, a project also known as the Big Lift.
Mr. Snider is a member of the Halifax Gateway Council, Strategic Joint Regional Transportation Committee, board member of the Alliance for Tolling Interoperability and is a past president of the International Bridge, Tunnel and Turnpike Association (IBTTA).
Through his more than 20 years of experience in the transportation industry Mr. Snider has become a respected leader within the transportation sector.
This event is restricted to the trade industry and is open to persons 19 years of age and older. Anyone under the age of 19 will not be admitted.
