MNBC’s Ministry of Education is excited to celebrate Early Learning and Child Care Professionals' dedication to promoting learning environments where Métis Culture is recognized and celebrated.

The Government of British Columbia has proclaimed the month of May as Child Care Month, and Early Learning and Child Care Professionals should be recognized for their demanding work and dedication to the caring of children within their community. In acknowledgement of Child Care Month, MNBC’s Ministry of Education wants to honour those caring for our children. These Professionals play a significant role in incorporating Métis culture into their environment to create a culturally safe space for Métis children. Their passion for sharing Métis culture helps develop Métis children who have a strong self-identity.

MNBC’s Ministry of Education wants to thank our child care providers and educators for all that they do for our children, families, and communities with a Virtual Appreciation and Awards Night with cultural performances.
