End of support for SQL Server 2008 is almost here (ends in July!), which means it’s time to take flight on your migration strategy.

But, do you have a plan in place? What approach should you take to ensure a smooth transition?

Speakers:

Michal Sadowski - Senior Database Platform Engineer, leader of Krakow chapter of Data Community Krakow (former Polish SQL Server User Group) - PASS Chapter. With more than 10 years of experience in Microsoft technology, helps in advisory for performance optimization on database and application levels. Active speaker on SQL Server related events like SQLSaturday, SQLDay, MCT Global Summit etc. Holds many Microsoft certificates including MCSE: Data Platform, MCSA: SQL Server 2012/2014/2016, MCSA: Windows Server 2008/2012/2016 and MCT.

Bartosz Ratajczyk - Database developer and (sometimes) administrator working with SQL Server Data Platform. Currently focusing on ETL development, delivery automation using TFS, query tuning, SQL Server training. Data Community Poland (DC) member, local group and conference speaker.

Tomasz Waloszek - He has been working with SQL Server 2008 for 8 years. As an administrator and programmer, he has proven his skill with MCP, MCSA, MCSE Data Management and Analytics by obtaining numerous certificates. A Business Intelligence consultant at a company in Warsaw, where he designs and develops data warehouse and multi-dimensional databases. Leader of the Bydgoszcz-Toruń Data Community group. Privately, an enthusiast of combat sports and strength training using hardstyle methodology.

Hubert Kobierzewski - Works at Codec-dss as BI Practice Lead. He helps customers to gather their data and convert it into valuable information using Microsoft Data Platform technologies. Hubert is also a co-leader of Polish SQL Server User Group (Warsaw Chapter) and Warsaw Power BI User Group.
