Please join us on November 24 for a morning packed with skill-building, take away resources, tools and access to programs and facilitators. These tools are designed for all demographics and all situations – youth, seniors, young families, etc.

“Money for Living – Weaving Financial Literacy into your Service Delivery”

The purpose of this half day event is to give you what you need to easily include the ability to use knowledge and skills to manage financial resources effectively for a lifetime of financial well-being in your daily work with your clients, students, staff - or anyone else you wish to share these resources with.

Here is a brief description of the day's presentations:

Junior Achievement BC Dollars with Sense FREE financial literacy certificate program delivered to youth grades 7-10 by volunteer facilitators from the financial services sector trained by JABC.

Credit Counselling Society - Free, accessible financial literacy resources to support any sevice delivery model.

Each One Teach One Program - Free workshops for people in all ages and stages of life that support financial well-being and the ability to understand and use financial information in a way that helps them make good decisions.

Financial Basics Workshops - a free resource perfect for those without formal financial literacy training, a customizable ‘Program in a Box’ that you can start using tomorrow

It’s a Money Thing - a full library of effective and affordable financial education content designed to engage and teach young adults on their journey to understand everything there is to know about money.

This half-day (8:30am - 12pm) workshop is offered at no cost to you, at the Neighbourhood Learning Centre in rooms 1007 / 1009. This is a "train-the-trainer" model workshop, where we ask you to share what you have learned with your staff and colleagues afterward, so that these resources can benefit an even wider array of clientele, students and community members.

We will also have an extensive resource table set up with loads of take-away matererial. There will be many people there with whom you can connect and work with to bring financial literacy into your programing effectively and easily.

A light breakfast will be provided.

See you there!
