Thursdays November 9, 16, 23 and 30, 2017

6:00 pm - 8:00 pm


 London Chapter Office (new location)

1225 Wonderland Rd North, Sherwood Library corridor.


  Participants are to commit to attending all 4 sessions.  Max 8 students. 


Initial sign up cost of $20 * per student for 4 week series

* If the student attends all four sessions $10 will be refunded. 

(Subsidy may be available for those who qualify - contact Kelly 519-433-3390)


Money Matters is a financial literacy program for adult learners developed by ABC Life Literacy Canada with support from TD Bank Group.

Lee MacLean is a CFP1 (Certified Financial Planner). She will be teaching and adapting the first series of these workshops to our London Chapter teens/young adults (16+). 



This program is for high functioning ASD teens (not for the parents) themselves.

Our core Money Matters program is aimed at the general adult learner.

  • 4 workbooks 8 hours of content which will cover
    1. Spending Plans (also available at Money Matters Online )
    2. Banking Basics
    3. Borrowing Money
    4. RESPs and Other Ways to Save 

Workbooks are written at a Grade 6-8 literacy level

Lee will also be including RDSPs and ODSP into the last session.


All necessary materials and workbooks will be supplied.

1.) Do I need to print out ticket or email confirmations to attend this event?
No, no need to print anything.  When you arrive at the event, you will have to check in at the registration desk.  You will be asked for your name and how many people are attending with you.  That's all.

2.) Do I need to bring proof of diagnosis?
No, not needed.  Again, just check in at the reg desk and enjoy the event.

3.) Is there a cost to attend this event?

99% of our events are free because the cost is covered by Autism Ontario's Potential Programme, in partnership with Ontario Ministry of Children & Youth Services and the local Autism Ontario Chapter.  If there is a cost, you will see it on the registration page when you select how many ticket you need.

4.) Do I need to be a member of Autism Ontario to register and participate?
No.  While membership does provide other great oppourtunities, all Potential Programme events from Autism Ontario are open to all families with children under 18 with ASD who reside in Ontario.
