SDNR was founded at York University and the Schulich School of Business in 2013 with the participation of Professors, Elders, stakeholders, government bodies and Indigenous peoples in remote regions.  After two years of gathering data, research, and carrying out effective consultation, SDNR was officially launched in 2015. This team provides professional services and works closely with their government, academic, and corporate partners in an effort to build positive relationships between Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples.
