Mosqoy is a charitable organization based in both Victoria, Canada and Cusco, Peru. Mosqoy, meaning “dream” in Quechua, the indigenous language of the Andean mountains, aims to mitigate the adverse effects of unsustainable tourism and development by providing economic opportunities for marginalized Quechua communities of the Peruvian highlands while nurturing their threatened culture.
Here at Mosqoy we are involved with a variety of diverse programs and initiatives focused on educational and cultural rights to Andean communities. Our main programs include a post-secondary education fund, a fair-trade textile initiative, and a global stewardship program.
