Description

Walk Leader: Brian Kingman

Date: Saturday, May 5th, 2018

Time: 10am-12pm

Meeting Location: Mt Lehman Community Association ( 6418 Mount Lehman Rd, Abbotsford, BC)

Description: Meeting at the Mount Lehman Community Hall at 10 am, the walk will commence west along Taylor Road to the Mount Lehman Cemetery which is aproximatley 1 km away.
Topics of Mount Lehman Cemetery walk will include the history of the school since 1884.

The first stop is just across the road at where we will speak about the Mount Lehman Community Hall established at the turn of the twentieth century, perhaps as early as 1904. The Hall was built as the Orange Lodge at that time.

At the school, there will be a short discussion of the Art work depicting Mount Lehman History of the school.

Old BC Electric Railway Stn. thought to be the Gifford Stn. now acts as a tool shed in the revamped cemetery; it has been refurbished and fits right in with the new and improved place of rest.

A rest stop will be made available to the walkers at the residence of Brian & Donna Kingman located half way between the school and cemetery.

Parking is available at the Community Hall.

Accessibility: Some uneven ground
