About this event

Move for Cures Community Yoga is back for another season. These yoga classes are intended to offer a safe and affordable place to practice together. Classes are by donation. This model allows us to avoid additional services charges from EventBrite and optimize class sizes.

Donations are appreciated but not expected. If for any reason you cannot donate, reach out to us and we can register you into the class. If you would like to support our community program, there is a suggested donation of $15. All proceeds will be donated to finding a cure and treatment for Muscular Dystrophy and rare disease research.

What to expect…

75 minutes, every Saturday, starting in January at the Mount Pleasant iDance Studio. Classes will take into account of all levels of practitioners. We will have mats and a limited amount of props to borrow. Space will be limited, please save your spot here.

The last Saturday of every month, Christine Wu will be sharing a Yin/Slow Flow and Soundbath experience. Dress comfortably and get rejuvenated.

Meet our team

Patricia is a Dharma yoga, Qi Gong, and Tai Chi instructor. She has been teaching since 2014, sharing the knowledge she has received from all her teachers. Patricia has dedicated her life to the Yoga teachings of Sri Dharma Mittra - a yoga practice beyond the poses and recognizes the importance of reducing harmful actions. You can expect her offerings to be rooted in Ahimsa (non-violence) and connection to one another.

Christine (she/her) honours the body and mind's ability to grow, adapt and heal with every new life experience. Give yourself permission to be nurtured with a body-based practice to bring more awareness and connection with your mind and spirit. Through meditative breathing and gentle flows, Christine invites you to move with intention, inner strength and fluidity.

Carolyn is a movement instructor. She has a Masters in Education and is passionate about building community and creating opportunities for others to connect.
