Overview

Discover the true story of Newfoundland’s less-than-constitutional confederation with Canada in 1949.

"Don’t Tell the Newfoundlanders” is a six-part docuseries based on Greg Malone’s book that digs into the political deals, hidden negotiations, and behind-the-scenes decisions that led to Newfoundland and Labrador’s 1949 Confederation with Canada. Through archival footage, expert interviews, and personal stories, the series explores the controversy, secrecy, and lasting impact of one of the province’s most defining, and debated, historic moments.

Following the screening there will be a Talk Back with Director Brad Grover
