About this Event

Ben Rosenblum Trio

Ben Rosenblum, piano/accordion

Jonny Chapman, bass

Ben Zweig, drums

Award-winning New York City jazz pianist and accordionist Ben Rosenblum has been described as “mature beyond his years,” (Sea of Tranquility) and an “impressive talent” (All About Jazz) who “caresses the music with the reverence it merits” (Downbeat Magazine).

Together with regular touring drummer Ben Zweig and Ontario-based bassist Jonny Chapman, Rosenblum launches the 2019/20 Master Piano Recital Series (MPRS) with the series' first-ever jazz concert, performing a wide-ranging, eclectic program of original compositions, jazz standards, world music and more.

Rosenblum’s first priority in his composition and in his playing is always narrative, telling a compelling story with his music, connecting with his audience on an emotional, intellectual and spiritual level.
