MSBC and MBT present: COVID-19 Pandemic - Implications for Employers
The worldwide Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak is rapidly developing, with media coverage focusing on its public health and societal impact. Employers and HR professionals must also consider the pandemic’s impact on the workplace and many are perplexed about what they legally can and should do to respond.
Join Joel Smith of Williams HR Law for a free one hour webinar to help employers understand their obligations and strategic options in light of the significant legal and operational implications caused by COVID-19.
This webinar will explore:
  • Health and safety requirements, including employer and employee obligations and what to do when your employees refuse to work
  • Employee leave and federal benefit entitlements, including Employment Insurance, Supplemental Unemployment Benefit Plans, and the new Canada Emergency Response Benefit
  • Key human rights and harassment obligations
  • Key elements to include in COVID-19 related policies and communications to employees
We will leave time to ensure a meaningful Q&A period at the end of the webinar.
