Please check our FAQ list to help answer any common questions you may have.

FAQ

Q: How does the tiered ticketing work?

A: There are limited numbers of tickets available in each tier. Once the tickets in one tier sell out, it moves to the next tier. There is no difference to what seat you will get based on your tier, the only difference is the earlier you purchase tickets, the cheaper the price it will be.

Q: If I am not a McMaster student, can I still attend?

A: After popular demand, we have negotiated a limited number of tickets that are now available to the public. A valid government ID must be presented with a valid ticket to enter.

Q: I forgot my McMaster student ID at home, can I still attend by showing my class schedule, or a photo of my ID?

A: No. You must show a physical McMaster student ID alongside a ticket or MacPass to enter the venue.

Q: I'm a McMaster Alumni, can I attend?

A: McMaster Alumni tickets are now sold out. You are welcome to purchae a public ticket, if available.

Q: Can I bring a guest? How many guests can I bring?

A: Yes. There are a limited amount of guest tickets now available. Guests must present a Government issued ID and be signed in by a McMaster Student. (1) Guest permitted per student.

Q: Someone sold me a discounted ticket, will I be able to get in?

A: By purchasing a ticket outside of our site, you are taking the risk that the ticket is not valid/ has been photocopied. The barcode on the ticket will only allow one person to enter. Once it has been scanned in, all photocopies will be rejected. It may sound great if you find a discounted ticket from someone else - but you are risking not getting into the venue. Only buy from a trusted source.

Q: I can no longer attend the event but bought a ticket already, can I get a refund?

A: Tickets are non-refundable. Perhaps there is another student that would be willing to buy this ticket from you.

Q: Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

A: You can either print your ticket or have it on your phone. As long as the barcode can be scanned, either option is acceptable.

Q: Is my ticket transferrable?

A: Yes. Click here for more help!

Q: Is it ok if the name on my ticket doesn't match the person who attends?

A: The name on the ticket does not need to match the ID. We understand that things come up, so you may give your ticket to someone else. As long as the ticket scans in and is valid, you are safe to enter. Be aware, that only one ticket can be scanned, so if the same ticket is duplicated and the original ticket holder enters first, your ticket will not scan in and you will be denied entry.

Q: Can I choose my seat?

A: To ensure all seats are filled, all those entering will be seated at the venues' discretion, starting from the front row and moving back. Specific seating is not guaranteed.

Q: What time do doors close?

A: To avoid disturbing the performance, doors will close when Bill Nye takes the stage. This will be around 4pm.
