Calling all adults age 18+!
All Sport One City is a week-long event offering free, no-pressure introductory sport and fitness classes!
Registration opens on January 1, noon.

Discover some Martial Arts, such as Muay Thai Kickboxing. Muay Thai is an exceptional cardio intensive activity that inevitably promotes flexibility, builds endurance and burns calories.

This class starts with 15-20 minute warm-up with some conditioning exercises designed for Muay Thai performance (eg. shoulders, abs, hips). The class then moves to either a heavy bag or a partner to learn striking techniques using the hands, elbows, knees and shins. It's a ton of fun while getting sweaty!

Kickboxing is a generic term for fighting sports/systems that use kicking and boxing techniques. Muay Thai is a sports form distilled from the traditional Thai martial arts (Muay boran). Muay thai uses kicking, punching, elbows and knees, clinches and has some ceremonial aspects.

Skill Requirements: During class, participants are required to hold focus mitt and Thai Pads for their partner. You should be okay with allowing another person to strike them while holding theses pads. .

Adaptability: This session is adaptable for participants of limited mobility or physical restrictions, please call first to discuss your needs

Equipment/attire required in order to participate: Classes are conducted in bare feet. Participants are encouraged to bring boxing gloves and shin guards if they have them, but this gear is not necessary to participate as we have plenty to lend out for the class!

Do I have to pre-register or can I just show up on event day?
The only way to guarantee a spot is to register in advance. Registrations will close one day prior to the event start. Drop-in may be possible (best to contact the session provider before the session start)

Minimum age requirements?
15+ - Some sessions are for kids only (age 6-12)

Transportation/parking options?
Plenty of Free Parking. There are a few bus options but you'll need to walk a few blocks at best. Check CalgaryTransit.com for details.

When should I arrive?
At least 15 minutes prior to the start of the event.

Food & Beverage available?
No, but there are restaurants and pubs in nearby community (Currie Barracks, Marda Loop...).
