Description

Mukwa is a 5 day camp where children can learn about traditional indigenous drumming, dancing, art, storytelling, drama, beadwork, and other aspects of aboriginal culture. This camp is offered for two different age groups. The first camp, from July 10th to 14th is for those between the ages of 6 and 9. Whereas, the second camp, from July 24th to 28th is for those between the ages of 10 and 12. Both camps are only $125.00 per child for the week. Lunch and snacks included. All activities lead by artists of the Maada'oonidiwag arts and culture cooperative in Kitchener.

Ages 6-9: Make your own friendship bracelets

Ages 10-12: Make your own medicine poach and dreamcatchers.
