Description

Music is an amazing way to positively interact with young children and has a huge impact on the developing brain.

This interactive and inclusive workshop is appropriate for any level of musical expertise and provides tips on how to expand the use of music in classrooms and programs.

Presented by Dr. Sean Hutchins, Neuroscientist and Catherine West, Music Education Specialist from The Royal Conservatory, this four-hour workshop will discuss:

  • How musical activities can help develop cognitive skills: attention, memory, and cognitive flexibility
  • Interactive activities that educators can use in their own practice with any age group or ability
