Join Emerging Rap Artists, Social Justice Activists and Community Educators explore the Identity & Representation of Muslim Youth in Vancouver using Rap Music, Film & Digital Storytelling.

Featuring Performances by Kalvonix & Big Love and Ham the Kid and Workshops by Abu Bakr Khan, Hamza Ahmed, Itrath Syed, Bassam Abu Nadi, Katie Warfield and Aisha Amijee.

This event is open to all Muslim youth aged 13-24; Registration is required. Tickets will be released closer to the event. For more information, please contact aisha.amijee@kpu.ca. This event is hosted by Visual Media Workshop at KPU (Kwantlen Polytechnic University), KPIRG (Kwantlen Public Interest Research Group) and Freed Education Co.

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

You'll need to bring anything with ID for registration and minimum age is 13 and maximum age is 24. This event is open to all youth between those ages who self-identify as Muslim.

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

You can take the bus from King George Skytrain station to the KPU Surrey Campus. Please check with translink for the bus route options.
