Event description

Description

A go-to-market plan (GTM plan) is an action plan that specifies how a company will reach customers and achieve a competitive advantage. The purpose of a GTM plan is to provide a blueprint for delivering a product or service to the end customer. A go-to-market plan is often associated with product launches, but it can also be used to describe the specific steps a company needs to take in order to guide customer interactions for existing products. Service-oriented firms such as cloud services providers and managed services providers also use GTM plans.

A go-to-market plan must define the target market for a particular product or service. In the case of a new company, they will need to decide whether it has existing customers that might be sales prospects or whether it needs to seek an entirely new set of customers. (Covered in MVT Series | Target Markets )

The go-to-market plan should focus on the product or service to be offered and its particular business benefit for the intended customers. With the value proposition defined, the company can determine a pricing strategy. (Covered in MVT Series | Value Propositions )

At the end of this session, you’ll have an understanding of how to develop a step by step action plan to get your idea off the ground.

What is the MVT Series?

The MVT Series or Market Validation Training Series is an educational course offered by Kamloops Innovation as the precursor to our VAP program. This series is Free and open to any individual, company or student who is looking to start their own business.
