Ever wondered how you are going to “sell” your customers? Or what is the best way to help them identify the value of your product or service over your competitors? In this introductory session, we will help you find the practical tools needed to develop your sales strategy so you can start generating revenue. Why is this important? Revenue means you have validated customers to continue growing your business!

By using the skills you have learnt in previous MVT Series workshops you will already know what your value proposition is and who your target audience is. This workshop will build on that knowledge to help you identify the resources that will help you best market your product or service to get it in front of the people you’ve identified as more likely to purchase it.

At the end of this session, you’ll have a toolset and resources to build out your sales strategy to put you on the path for making sales.



What is the MVT Series?

The MVT Series or Market Validation Training Series is an educational course offered by Kamloops Innovation as the precursor to our VAP program. This series is Free and open to any individual, company or student who is looking to start their own business.

The series is designed to guide and coach early-stage companies through defining business models for sustained growth. Kamloops Innovation does not take equity stakes in companies, making companies free to grow on their own terms. For those individuals looking to attend specific classes, the Startup Basics Series offers more bite-sized versions of the material taught in the MVT Series through the TRU Generator.

  • Positioning Statements: How to tell your company's story
  • Value Propositions: Understand the value your business idea brings to the table
  • Target Markets: Identify your first customers & how to market to them
  • Your Go-To-Market Plan: Develop an action plan to move your business idea forward
  • Sales Strategy: Practical tools so you can start generating revenue
  • Business Model Canvas: Visualize your company's value, infrastructure, customers, and finances.
