My First Time: An Introduction to Yoga

About this Event
We know it can be intimidating to try something new, especially if your body is unique. We have created a safe space for you to explore the practice of yoga from your own home to build the confidence to walk into any yoga studio!
Through our four week series we will cover:
- Breaking down each pose into basics.
- Yoga terminology.
- What is savasana and why is it important?
- Props - do we need them? How do we use them?
- Studio etiquette, what do I wear to my first class, what do I bring? How do I choose a studio?
This inclusive, body positive class is open to all levels and experiences of yogis but will have special attention for those who are new to the practice or have experienced barriers to accessing yoga in the past.
The instructor, Dawn Slykhuis is a Registered Social Worker with a specialization in mental health, and fierce advocate for social justice, including ensuring yoga is accessible and inclusive to all those who are interested.
Special pricing is in effect for this class to reduce financial barriers to accessing this practice.

Cost for all four sessions is $40 ($42 incl. GST)
