About this Event

The UVic Society for Students with a Disability is proud to be partnering with The ME|FM Society of BC and The UVic Equity and Human Rights Office to host an educational seminar for medical practitioners and health sciences students at the University of Victoria!

This event is part of The ME|FM Society's #TimeforUnrest campaign, a call to action for equitable care, treatment, education and research funding for the over 560 000 Canadians living with Myalgic encephalomyelitis, or ME/CFS.

Featured will be a discussion and Q&A panel of prominent medical practitioners, patients and caregivers. Attendees will be shown a partial screening of the medical documentary, Unrest, accompanied by a C.M.E. video on Myalgic encephalomyelitis diagnosis and disease management.

*Dr. Luis Nacul is a physician and general practitioner with training across medicine, epidemiology and public health. As Clinical Associate Professor at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine Department of Clinical Research, he led the CureME team and the UK ME/CFS Biobank. This past year, he joined the BC Women's Hospital Complex Chronic Diseases Program as Medical Director.

We encourage all members of the Greater Victoria Medical Community and aspiring Health Sciences students to set aside the time for this unique educational opportunity!
