About this Event

NAIT Alumni Lifelong Learning | Navigating Online Job Search Tools

In this session you will learn the various online methods and tools that today’s employers are using to post jobs and source candidates.

We will discuss the various online job boards, how to optimize your resume to include the correct key words, how to make your resume optimized when applying through an applicant tracking system, your online image and the importance of it in places such as LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook and more!

Free parking is available. Room location and parking passes will be sent prior to the event.

Shannon Neighbour

Shannon Neighbour (Marketing '00) is an experienced recruiter, having over 6 years of experience in recruitment with her firm, Svensen Neighbour Recruiting. Before that, Shannon had over 10 years in professional business-to-business sales in the media industry as an Account Executive and a General Sales Manager.

Shannon is currently sitting as the Past President and Community Outreach Chair of the Edmonton Business Association (and has been involved with the organization for over 5 years), is the Chair of the NAIT Alumni Association Advisory Committee, the Campaign Manager for Michael Walters’ 2017 Ward 10 Re-Election Campaign and volunteers in the community she lives in helping to raise money to build a playground. She is passionate about people and their stories, women’s advocacy and giving back.
