About this event
In Newfoundland and Labrador, there has been a rise in opioid related deaths. It is crucial that front-line staff working in the community are trained and prepared to use Naloxone* to save a life.
*Naloxone is a medicine that rapidly reverses the effects of opioids on the brain. It is an important tool that can save the life of someone experiencing an opioid poisoning.
This free 1.5-hour Naloxone Training session will ensure that participants are prepared to handle an opioid poisoning.
While this class is being offered for front-line staff serving the community, participation is open to members of the general public as well.
